The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A representative for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.
The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, including a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
